On 6 July, we had the pleasure of leading another wickerwork workshop at the MOK Wickerwork Centre in Rudnik nad Sanem.
During the session, participants created their own decorative trays while learning the different stages of working with wicker and discovering traditional weaving techniques. This time, we introduced plenty of colour, adding vibrant energy to our beautiful wicker trays. The base of each tray was engraved with our Wicker Workshop logo, creating a lasting reminder of the time we spent together.
The workshop was held as part of the project “Art and Craft – the Region’s Wickerwork Heritage”, organised by the Municipal Cultural Centre in Rudnik nad Sanem in cooperation with the National Institute of Rural Culture and Heritage (NIKiDW).
We are delighted to be part of initiatives that not only teach traditional craftsmanship but also help preserve Poland’s unique wickerwork heritage and pass it on to future generations. Every workshop like this shows that traditional handicrafts continue to inspire, encourage creativity and bring immense satisfaction through the joy of making something by hand.
A huge thank-you to all the participants for their enthusiasm, the wonderful atmosphere and the time we shared together. See you at our next workshop!
