We have just returned from an unforgettable day at the 6th Lasowiak Culture Festival in Rudnik nad Sanem!
It was a great pleasure for The Wicker Stories to lead willow weaving workshops, during which participants learned traditional basket-weaving techniques while creating their own elegant handwoven wicker handbags inspired by the rich cultural heritage of the Lasowiak region.
Events like this remind us that basket weaving is a living craft—one that continues to inspire, connect generations, and preserve centuries-old traditions. Every handbag created during the workshop was unique, and it was wonderful to watch simple willow rods transform into beautiful handcrafted pieces. The finishing touches—carefully selected fabric linings and elegant shoulder straps included with every handbag—made each creation truly special.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in the workshops for their enthusiasm, patience, and the wonderful atmosphere they created. It was a privilege to celebrate the beauty of Polish craftsmanship and the cultural heritage of the Lasowiak region together.

This was our motto for this year's festival.
